CPO® TRAINING COURSE
The Certified Pool/Spa Operators Training Course is the only nationally
recognized program for the Commercial Pool/Spa Operator. The National Swimming
Pool Foundation (NSPF®) certifies those who pass the course as Certified
Pool/Spa Operators (CPO®).
CERTIFIED POOL OPERATOR
The CPO ® seal of approval is assurance to pool/spa owners that their pool
operators and maintenance staff are trained in the most advanced techniques in
safety, water chemistry, maintenance and management. The course is conducted by
lecturers experience in the operation, management and design of public pool
facilities.
The need for qualified operators is greater than ever. Anyone supervising the operation of any kind of pool has a life and health-guarding responsibility. They must keep the facility in good operating order and operate it efficiently and maintain the equipment. Only an individual with suitable training and experience is qualified to meet such responsibilities.
Each student must attend the 2 day course of instruction. After completion of the course, a open book final examination will be given on the materials presented in the CPO® course. Each participant must pass the exam to become a Certified Pool/Spa Operator. A passing score is 75%. The certification is for a maximum of 5 years at which time the refresher course must be completed and the re-certification exam be passed.
After completion of the course, each "graduate" will receive a certificate, suitable for framing. This includes your CPO® Registration Number, which is permanently recorded by the Foundation. A wallet card will be mailed along with the certificate. The card, a miniature of the certificate, also carries the graduate's personal CPO® Registration Number.
The newly revised CPO® Handbook, provided, is an invaluable resource and reference guide for the professional who must trouble-shoot a broad spectrum of functional problems. All topics in The CPO® Handbook are written by experts with long experience in their areas of specialization.
Now is the time to be trained by an experienced licensed CPO® Instructor. This course offers a 5 year renewable certification, required by Maine, New York, Florida, New Jersey, Georgia, & Massachusetts.
